Microsoft Christmas Theme is designed for Windows XP and gives the user a free and safe festive desktop theme to celebrate the holiday season.

This theme contains a few main parts. A user could easily put this together manually and go through settings to change them, but the theme makes the resources extremely convenient and eliminates the hassle of setting and then unsetting every element of the theme. It has a cartoon Christmas background for the user's desktop. No matter what the desktop size is, the theme automatically fits it.

This theme also modifies the cursor into a surprise Christmas character (we'll let you see for yourself what it is!). You get an altered screensaver to show Santa Claus, and the traditional system sounds are modified into Christmas sounds, such as bells, etc. Whether this theme will appeal to you depends on your personality. It could be highly annoying to some people after awhile, so it might be fun to test as a novelty with some friends and then throw out. Of course, any XP theme can easily be turned on or off from the desktop tools menu.

If you're a very festive person, you might enjoy this theme, but be warned that some elements are disproportionately loud and bright, so if you're in an office, you might want to save this one for home.
